Layered Hanging Heart

This hanging heart decoration adds a festive touch and makes really neat shadows.
The best part? How easy it is to make!

Cut 1 inch strips of red paper
the length of each strip needs to get a bit shorter by about 1/2 an inch

Fold the strips in half
with the strips folded punch a hole in the folded side in the same spot on each piece
unfold the strips, line them up and punch a hole the same distance from the end on each strip
then line up the other end of the strips and punch a hole the same distance from the end as you did on the first side

Now that you have all the holes line up the folds again, this will be the bottom of the heart, fold the strips together, with the shortest on the inside and put a brad through the holes to hold the point at the bottom of the heart

Next fold in the tops of the strips and line up the holes then put a brad through to fasten at the inside top of the heart

Last step is to add a string!
