Apple Picking

Today we celebrated the coming of fall... the weather has been beautiful, even with the predicted effects of Hurricane Earl. Since we're up in New Hampshire with an apple orchard a few miles away we took Gram and headed out. It turned out it was the first day the orchard was open for picking and the earliest that they have ever been open for picking, all that we could pick was Macintosh apples. We were the first people there and had the whole orchard to ourselves. We were enjoying ourselves so much we picked 20 lbs of apples! When we'd filled up our bucket and decided to head out was when the next few cars pulled in. Perfect timing!
