maple latte oreo ice cream


Our freezer is now well stocked with ice cream...

Ingredients:
3 cups of whole milk
1 cup of maple syrup
4 tablespoons of espresso beans cut in half (or more if you want stronger coffee flavor)
salt
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
oreo cookies cut into small pieces

Bring the milk with espresso beans, vanilla and salt to a simmer on the stove, whisk constantly for 5 minutes, turn off burner, whisk in maple syrup  let sit for 10 minutes, then strain out the coffee beans
Put mixture in the fridge for 6 hours or freezer for 2 hours or until cold
Pour ice cream mixture into ice cream maker for a Kitchen Aid mix on low for 30 minutes, add oreo pieces and mix for another 5 minutes, then put it in the freezer
